Dear friends and supporters of the San Diego Fine Art Society,

Sinclair Stratton, the popular watercolor painter whom we featured at Studio Michelengelo recently, suffers from a common but potentially dangerous medical condition that was going untreated because, like over 600,000 San Diegan's, Sinclair is uninsured. This Spring the people at Family Health Centers heard Sinclair's story and within hours she was speaking with the director of the clinic nearest her house. She found out that she qualified for a special program for people with her condition and in her situation, and without delay she got the medicine she needed and is doing fine.

The San Diego Fine Art Society would like to show its gratitude to Family Health Centers by sending an appeal to our supporters friends and fans to purchase and donate a painting by Sinclair to donate to the Barrio Logan Family Health Centers clinic. We have a $250,000 Arts and Healing Fund goal at as we ramp up to our gala fundraiser August 23rd. The money raised will be used to purchase and install artwork in the 40,000 square foot clinic - and we could use your help.

San Diego is a generous and culturally alive town, and I am thrilled that I moved here from Los Angeles. Thank you for this opportunity, San Diego - together we can make great things happen.

Please look over the paintings on the Artwork Drive page (www.sdfas.org/sinclair-stratton-artwork-drive) and choose the painting that you enjoy most and make a donation in your name or to memorial to a loved one or pet.

Your donation is 100% tax deductible.

Sincerely,

April Game
Executive Director
