Martin Sklar Martin Sklar characterizes his style as abstract surrealism, blending abstract forms and color with surreal representation to reveal concepts and ideas. Among his many influences include Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso. He developed a technique using unprimed canvas applying ink and acrylic to create a unique rustic pop art feel. There is a soft flow to his compositions filled with interconnecting images that to him represents the unbreakable connection between all things in the universe. www.martinsklar.com [9]
Sinclair Stratton is a self-taught artist whose mature skills and love for animals have evolved into an award winning watercolor style, and a strong devotion to supporting animal related causes. Sinclair's watercolor paintings capture the beauty and essence of the animals with whom we share our world. Her powerful and unique use of color transform an animal image into a soulful art piece, alive with energy and love.
Sinclair StrattonSinclair's love of animals transcends her pet creations as she actively supports numerous non-profit animal organizations and shelters. Sinclair has dedicated her art career to assisting in the reduction of unnecessary suffering of animals in our world. Sinclair's creativity is also channeled into her insightful "insect people" paintings. Her personal spiritual journey manifests into a series of abstract watercolor creations that dive into the depths of human emotion and relationships. www.sinclairstratton.com [10]
Jeff Yeomans' use of color, composition and brushwork create a style that is his alone, work that is confident and fresh. His coastal studies, figurative work and urban landscapes are a visual delight of light, color and form. "California is where I grew up and what I know. But I've watched it change so much that I paint to document California now, to remember the culture and "fabric" of the region. I want my work to be relevant now, and to future generations.” In late 2005, he exhibited work in Italy at the Florence Biennial. A year later, the San Diego Art Institute presented "Ten Decisions" his first one-man show in San Diego. In October 2007, Yeomans completed a commission for the Naval Hospital in Balboa Park, San Diego. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America, National Portrait Society and Laguna Plein Air Painters Association. He was recently admitted as an Artist Member to the California Art Club, and was recognized by Southwest Art Magazine (Oct '07) as an "Artist to Watch." www.jeffyeomans.com [11]
