"Kelp Man is made up of an uninterrupted strand of kelp. The figure’s right foot is attached to a rock similar to how the real holdfast part of kelp is often attached to a rock. His left foot is missing to enhance the sculpture’s ephemeral and natural qualities. Some of my inspiration comes from growing up in

"I maintain an interest in fostering a positive sense of the individual and the way we view social constructs, humor and play. I use various media to portray this ideal. I use my formal education in engineering and my acquired education in art to create new pieces of art that have an innocence and a positive message. I typically focus on bronze and aluminum sculptures. I also am beginning to incorporate electronics into my artwork. These will be unveiled at a show this October." - Dave Ghilarducci

James Stone
"Tree under the Sea"
Steel, Copper, Mosaic and Glass
16’ x 8’ x 6’
Look for "Tree under the sea" across from the Main Lawn
$20,000 ($8,000 is tax deductible)
My art today, is the convergence of my experiences of living around water from my earliest years through out my adult life. As a boy I was fascinated with the mysteries of underwater existence. The liquid crystal quality of water, (which resembles that of glass) and the never-ending study of the strange and wonderful creatures that lived with in it became a life long passion. Creating illusions of underwater environments in glass, copper and steel, infuses the work with the life-force energy of fire and forge. It’s my hope that as the viewer becomes lost in the sight, sound and feel of the work, they become gently charged with that same life-force energy, while still experiencing the peaceful relaxing sense of visiting a strange and wonderful underwater world. -James Stone

Terry is a third generation wood sculptor, with a unique, organic, flowing style. His work is presently shown exclusively at the Hawthorne Gallery in Big Sur, California. His pieces are proudly displayed in the homes and offices of numerous collectors world wide. Redwood is Terry's medium of choice. He finds it to have a timeless quality and an intriguing lure. Much of his wood comes from the Pacific North West coast. He often works with abstractly shaped roots or partly decomposed limbs. Terry allows the shape of the wood to influence or dictate what he can do with it. He then transforms the volatile nature of the wood into abstract figures and designs.

Triflow is the sculptural creation of the apex between the imagination, inspiration and intuition. It is symbolic of the emergence of the feminine along with the masculine.
Metaphorically the curves are a symbol of the feminine, as the strength steel embodies the masculine. Together they merge as one fertile bloom. The rose quartz deep in the center represents the spark of creativity.
Lia Strell is a native Southern California sculptor. Some might say her work is in the center between Art & Energy. She is compelled to move metal in a flowing way. Throughout the creative process, she imagines specific thought energies providing each sculpture with a helpful message influencing both the client as well as the viewer.

Kathryn Weiss and Carolyn Guerra
Carolyn Guerra created the body form of this beautiful piece, and the thoughtful and highly-detailed mosaic work was done by Kathryn Weiss. Weiss has been creating ceramic mosaic artworks since 1984 and has numerous commissions, including Ford Motor Corporation, Hotel del Coronado and the Four Seasons Aviara. "Sophia" depicts a female figure with arms raised (echoing "I am Woman" by Carolyn Guerra - not far away), decorated on one side with sunny images of optimism and the "sunny" side of our personalities, while the opposite side shows the colors of the moon and of night - or the "dark" side of our personalities. Together making us balanced, one, and whole.
