Laure Marzolf
Elementary & Middle School Visual Arts Teacher

Laure Marzolf has recently arrived at SDFAS for the 2025–2026 school year and is enthusiastic about starting this new chapter and sharing her passion for the arts with her students. She will teach Visual Arts from 1st through 8th Grade. With a Master’s degree in Art from the École des Beaux-Arts in France, another in Design (including Graphic, Interior, and Furniture Design), and a third in Art Teaching, she brings over a decade of teaching experience to the classroom. Her teaching style emphasizes creativity, inclusivity, and cross-disciplinary learning, encouraging students to connect artistic practice with critical thinking and cultural exploration. Laure is passionate about helping students grow both academically and personally, while developing their artistic voice and confidence.

Outside of teaching, Laure enjoys working on her personal art projects, as well as dance, running, yoga, swimming, hiking, skiing, and cycling—and she can’t wait to learn surfing. With a background as a dancer in classical ballet, modern jazz, contemporary, and cabaret, movement has always been an important part of her life and continues to inspire her creative and teaching practice. She is both a certified yoga instructor—teaching in studios in Napa Valley over the past year—and a lifeguard, with many years of experience teaching swimming to kids in a French association. In addition to education, Laure worked as a Project Coordinator for a French school in the Bay Area and as a graphic designer in an interior design studio, where she also contributed to the production of handcrafted lighting creations. Having traveled extensively and lived in Australia for a year, she brings a global perspective and often integrates her diverse experiences into her teaching.
