ABOUT SAN DIEGO FINE ART SOCIETY

San Diego Fine Art Society (SDFAS) is strengthening the art pulse of the community through education and collaboration. Core programs like the Artist Mentor Program empower artists to reach their dreams. Art Pulse TV reveals the passion and the people behind the art. By removing barriers and building bridges, SDFAS is helping San Diego reach its potential as a top arts destination in the country.

We envision a San Diego with a sense of its own cultural identity, with collectors, curators and citizens who seek out art by San Diegan artists, and a business community that looks for ways to embrace and reflect the visual arts culture of the community that keeps it thriving. We envision San Diego as one of the country's premier destinations for arts and culture.

GOALS:

Support and strengthen the role of art in neighborhood preservation and revitalization by encouraging city public art projects;

Increase art experiences and opportunities for all members of the community through regional partnerships with the business community;

Enhance the role of fine art in improving the quality of life for residents and visitors;

Support and strengthen the role of art in healing by encouraging art and art therapy in hospitals and clinics;

Enhance the visibility and financial stability of San Diego fine artists through our efforts.
