Leadership
Head of School

Mark Rosenblum

Raised on the East Coast, Mark’s early intrigue with French was sparked by his middle school teacher. His first immersion adventure began at age 19 in the South of France.

Mark is endlessly excited about language, culture, and global education. His vision for every person – no matter how old – is that they develop the confidence to interact in a meaningful way with anyone they encounter quite literally from anywhere on earth. With curiosity, optimism and an open mind, yes, we all really can talk to each other, get along, and regularly experience and celebrate wonderment in the world. An exceptional bilingual education is certainly one of the surest ways to guarantee a life of meaning, connection and deep impact.

Governance

San Diego French-American School is a 501©(3) non-profit corporation and an independent school governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board is comprised completely of volunteers who devote their time to oversight and support of the School and bring a variety of professional backgrounds and skills to the Board. The Board has officers, including a Chair of the Board, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, and operates according to Bylaws. Significant parts of the Board work are done through its Committees.
