Coast to Coast Program Connects Students to Food Equity and Sustainability

The Coast to Coast program welcomed Austin International students this week. The week started with a fun cookout & s’mores at La Jolla Shores! With this year’s program focused on SDG 2: Zero Hunger, the students learned about food access and sustainability around San Diego. The students assembled 50 meal kits for Feeding San Diego, learned from a local UCSD program manager, explored sustainable seafood and ocean systems, visited a local farm to study biodiversity and composting, and examined fast food production systems. Fun nights out included a trip to the Padres game and dinner in Old Town!
