A Living Tribute: 5th Graders Celebrate Women’s History Month
Our 5th grade students brought history to life through a dynamic and immersive Living Museum experience that showcased both their creativity and depth of learning.
In honor of Women’s History Month, each student selected and researched notable figures who made a lasting impact in women history. From scientists and activists to artists and leaders, students explored the lives, achievements, and challenges of these inspiring figures. On the day of the event, they transformed into “living statues,” remaining still and in character until “activated” by visitors. Once brought to life, each student delivered a carefully crafted monologue, speaking in the voice of their chosen figure and sharing her story with confidence and conviction.
The event provided a unique opportunity for students to engage in public speaking, historical research, and creative expression, all while deepening their understanding of the contributions of women throughout history. Families, peers, and faculty were invited to walk through the museum, interact with the students, and experience history in a truly memorable way.
