Why Choose San Diego French-American School?

Our immersive bilingual program builds fluency in French and English while developing cultural awareness, confidence, and global-mindedness. Spanish is also taught from preschool through 8th grade.

A rigorous French-American curriculum combines strong academics with STEAM, coding, robotics, science, and innovation, preparing students to think critically and creatively.

Our multicultural community brings together families from around the world, creating a rich environment where students learn to appreciate different languages, cultures, and perspectives.

Small class sizes allow teachers to know each student well. Our full-time Learning Specialist and School Counselor provide additional academic, social-emotional, and individualized support, helping every student thrive.

From music, visual and performing arts, and athletics to leadership and community engagement, students have countless opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop skills beyond the classroom.

Our beautiful 8-acre campus provides an exceptional learning environment with modern facilities, including a library, auditorium, Innovation Lab, Makerspace, science labs, and expansive outdoor spaces.

A word from our Team

“Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your child, and I understand that choice both professionally and personally. As a mother of sons who have experienced bilingual education, I know firsthand the many questions that come with choosing a bilingual school and the importance of finding the right fit for your family.

Whether you are discovering bilingual education for the first time, looking for a new school community, or relocating to San Diego, I’m here to make your admissions journey informative, welcoming, and personal. I’m always happy to answer your questions, explain the benefits of bilingualism, share what makes SDFAS unique, and help you determine whether our school is the right fit for your child.”

By learning in both educational systems, our children have been well-prepared and have acquired skills that allow them to be versatile and flexible in other endeavors. In addition, they have learned in an environment that emphasizes a world perspective that relates to the individual. Minerva and Andy, parents of Justin and Seth
