Mélody Rouquier was born in northern France and grew up near Toulouse. She studied Classics, first in a preparatory class for the Grandes Ecoles at the Lycée Fermat in Toulouse, then at the University Jean Jaurès and finally at the University Paul Valéry in Montpellier, where she studied the languages, literatures and cultures of the ancient Mediterranean. She passed her teaching exam, the CAPES, in 2005, and went on to teach in various colleges. This gave her an excellent command of the different Middle School levels and enabled her to carry out numerous projects with her French and Latin classes. In 2022, she became a teacher trainer for the Toulouse Academy, specializing in reading fluency.
Mélody joined SDFAS in 2023 with her three children. At SDFAS, she teaches French literature in Middle School and passes on her love of books. In her spare time, Mélody enjoys spending time with her family and reading.
