The 4th edition of the San Diego French Film Festival took place from June 2 to June 5 and showcased notable films from various francophone countries to appeal to a wide range of audiences from children to adults. Our Head of School, Mme David and Director of Development, Véronique (photographed) were in attendance along with other members of our Senior Leadership Team. Members of our school community were also spotted and photographed, such as faculty, admin, and parents who gathered together to share their appreciation for art, film, and culture. Photographs were captured by San Diego lifestyle photographer, Diane Hamacher.
The opening ceremony took place at The Lot in La Jolla and welcomed attendees to a luxurious cocktail hour for a chance to mingle with distinguished speakers and special guests. Special guests include Deputy of the French National Assembly, Christopher Weissberg and film producer, Antoine de Cazotte.
This annual event is organized by the Alliance Française de San Diego and celebrates the art of filmmaking by presenting films to our local community. The opening ceremony aired Au Revoir Belmondo, a short directed by Lisa Kohn, which follows the thrilling and suspenseful actions of an obsessive young man. It was followed by the feature film of the evening, Les Trois Mousquetaires: Milady, an epic adventure film directed by Martin Bourboulon, based on Alexandre Dumas’ novel, The Three Musketeers.
